About Jill Mattson
My name is Jill Mattson and I have been a certified massage thereapist here in the beautiful Cuyuna Lakes Country since 2001. It has been a wonderful journey growing into a practice that has had a wide variety of clientele.
Education and Training
I graduated from Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork and have attended many continuing education courses ranging from Thai Yoga, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral, to Russian Neck & Back Pain. I also acquired my National Certification six years ago, which has been a great group to be associated within the massage profession.
To me the body is an amazing being! It is awesome and humbling to see how my work affects someone by applying my skills. Sometimes dysfunctions of bodily systems appear as a jigsaw puzzle that I get to "work out." After all these years in practice, I still love helping people out with their wellness on their journey of life. Nothing makes me happier than to hear a client exclaim that that work was just what the doctor ordered!
Heartwood Presbyterian Homes is one venue for my massage, as is the peaceful studio in my home. Both places are calming just to enter into! I am also involved in volunteering with our Hospice community as well as working in one of our local nursing homes one afternoon a week. Physical, healing touch is SO important at all ages, whether it is for relaxation, circulation or the deep tissue work that I so enjoy.
I have been happily married for 26 years and have a son and a daugther, both in college. We enjoy biking and are looking forward to our new extreme mountain bike trail opening this June. Tennis is also a passion of mine as is the slower pace of pontooning around Serpent Lake, where my studio is located.
